Lifeguard Training

Become a lifeguard! Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies in a variety of scenarios. Participants are trained in safety and water rescue skills for a controlled environment, including First Aid, CPR and AED. This blended learning opportunity utilizes American Red Cross online learning coursework and onsite water sessions. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for two years.

Details

Applicants must be at least 15 years old to enroll. Pre-requisite skills include swimming 150 yards and completing a timed swim test within 1 minute, 40 seconds. Swim goggles are not allowed during evaluations.

Enroll in lifeguard training by completing the online application. Make sure to bring proof of age and your swim test results on the first day of training.

Lifeguard training costs $49. Classes are hosted quarterly. Contact us for dates of our next class.
