The largest park in the District, North Clackamas Park spans 45 acres of beautiful fields, serene waterways, and stately groves of mature oak trees. This idyllic space offers unique recreational experiences for all visitors and features shaded picnic areas, a covered picnic shelter, softball fields, a fenced horse arena, and a fenced dog park. Families will love the two playgrounds, while walking paths and amenities like a volleyball net and horseshoe pits ensure there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Located in Milwaukie, the park is situated next to the Milwaukie Community Center and Sarah Hite Memorial Rose Garden.

Camas Creek divides the park into north and south, with Mt. Scott Creek flowing west along the northern and western boundaries of the park. A network of trails and walking paths throughout the site provides easy access to parks many amenities. 

The lush natural areas and sensitive habitats of North Clackamas Park are a treasure, showcasing a mix of Oregon White Oak and Oregon Ash wooded areas, along with vibrant wetland and non-wetland riparian plant communities. The park's mosaic of woodlands, lawns, streams, and wetlands is a haven for a variety of wildlife species.

North Clackamas Park also offers a premier sports facility featuring four natural grass softball and baseball fields. The complex is equipped with state-of-the-art Musco field lighting, ensuring optimal visibility for games held in the evening. The facility includes covered dugouts, wireless scoreboards, and permanent restrooms, a concession stand, and spectator seating for convenience. Ample parking is also available to accommodate guests.

  • North Clackamas Park opens half an hour before sunrise and closes half an hour after sunset.
  • The walking path is wheelchair accessible.
  • Bike racks are available onsite.
  • The picnic shelter is available to rent for gatherings; see shelter rental information.
  • There is a large, dedicated parking lot with ample parking.
  • Dogs are allowed to be off-leash in the dog area only; please ensure your dogs remain on-leash in the rest of the park for the safety of people, wildlife, and other dogs. Please pick up after your dog.
