Clackamas, Ore. — The North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) has been awarded funding for four park projects through Metro's Nature in Neighborhoods Community Choice Grant program. In alignment with NCPRD's System Plan short-term priorities, the grants, totaling $540,200, will help improve neighborhood parks, expand recreational opportunities, and protect natural resources throughout the district.

The awarded projects include:

  • Skate Improvements at the future community park at the 70th Avenue and Monroe Street Property – Funding will support the addition of skate amenities at the planned community park, creating new opportunities for recreation and active play.
  • Risley Park Refresh – Improvements will enhance the park with updated amenities that better serve the surrounding community.
  • Justice Property Park Development – Grant funding will help transform the Justice Property into a new neighborhood park, expanding access to parks and open space for nearby residents.
  • Trail and habitat improvements at Rivervilla Park – Funding will support efforts to address the impacts of the invasive emerald ash borer, helping preserve the park's urban forest while improving its long-term ecological health and public safety.

Metro's Nature in Neighborhoods Community Choice Grant program funds local projects that protect water quality, restore habitat, improve access to nature, and create opportunities for people to connect with the outdoors.

Additional information about project funding, timelines, and construction schedules will be shared as each project moves forward.
